This event is hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association, supported by the Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau, and jointly organized by multiple departments. It is one of the highest-level national competitions in track and field in China.
The competition has attracted 31 teams and over 900 athletes to Rizhao to compete together. Among them are many top-tier stars, such as Tokyo Olympic medalists Zhu Yaming and Wang Zheng, as well as Chen Jie, Xiong Shilin, Liu Zhengyi, Shao Yuqi, Hu Linpeng, Lu Jiawen, Dina Nurlan, Xu Zhuoyi, Xie Wenjun, Wei Yongli, Yuan Qiqi, Liang Xiaojing, Wang Chunyu, Li Ling, Feng Bin, and Lü Huihui. These renowned athletes will showcase their skills and compete fiercely in this event.
The atmosphere at the Quishan Sports Center track and field stadium is tense and lively. At the competition site, athletes from each team, dressed in vibrant uniforms, can be seen training vigorously on the track. Every sprint is full of power, and every movement aims for perfection.
In the women's 100-meter hurdles final at the 2024 National Athletics Championships and National Track and Field Grand Prix Finals, Sichuan athlete Wu Yanni won the championship with a time of 12.74 seconds. This achievement not only set her personal best (PB) but also marked the best performance in Asia for this event this year.
In this final, Lin Yuwei secured the second place with a time of 13.00 seconds, Chen Jiamin took third place with 13.23 seconds, and Xia Sining finished fourth with a time of 13.38 seconds.
The Rizhao Quishan Sports Center boasts first-class facilities and excellent services, providing strong support for the successful organization of this event. Additionally, the center is hosting the opening ceremony of the 25th Provincial Games and various competitions including athletics, skateboarding, and rugby.
The Quishan Sports Center has always been a prominent sports venue, designed with the concept of "Rizhao Light". For the track, Donghai Group has installed a prefabricated Neotrack system certified by both national and international athletics federations. The design and construction strictly adhere to standards, ensuring that the straightaways and curves are scientifically optimized to offer athletes the best possible running experience. Additionally, the Rizhao Quishan Sports Center has been awarded Class II certification by World Athletics, further validating its quality and adherence to international standards.
